Meet the Staff
lea shemtov, founder and director
"Hi! My name is Lea Raskin.
I love to sing and dance. Growing up in Montevideo, Uruguay, I was given the ability to develop this passion, allowing me to express myself in the performing arts. It was a highlight of my childhood.
Since moving to Crown Heights at the age of 11, it has been my vision and dream to bring this joyous outlet to our community. To create a happy space. A space filled with joyous energy, song, movement and expression. A space where kids can be kids. Where they can discover a part of themselves in a Jewish, professional, and fun environment.
Thank G-d, this dream is now a reality. Join us in this magical experience!"
leslie class, dance instructor
"Hi there! I'm Leslie.
I’m a graduate of the American Musical Dramatic Academy (AMDA).
I’ve been dancing since I was 3! I Grew up performing in many dance competitions and conventions and I’ve been teaching dance since I was in middle school and choreographed various musicals.
I danced in plays in New York and performed at the Arts Center Of Coastal Carolina.
I love sharing what I know with the 'Tambourine girls,' giving them the ability to stretch and learn dance on a weekly basis. Teaching dance is definitely my passion."
devorah seraff, Voice instructor
"Born in Montreal and raised in a home that fostered creativity, I found myself deeply connected to music from a young age.
Singing, being part of and heading choirs, writing music, and performing at various events, all give me so much life.
Once professionally trained, I became even more passionate to share what I know with others.
From voice warms ups and voice skills, to singing and expressing songs on tempo with the right posture and tone, there is so much to learn!
I can’t wait to begin sharing this incredible experience with my students!"
